Super Bowl XLV Betting Odds

The moment of truth has arrived for NFL betting fans: Super Bowl XLV. On February 6, the Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Green Bay Packers in a battle of storied franchises.

Even though the Steelers will be going for their third Super Bowl victory in six years, they’ve opened as an underdog in the NFL odds. Bovada and Bovada favor the Green Bay Packers by 3 points; other books like Sportsbook.ag and Bovada have gone the more conservative route, favoring the Pack by 2.5.

NBA Power Rankings Update

The San Antonio Spurs' strength of schedule wasn't enough to push them to the top of the Power Rankings for a second consecutive week, as they've given way to the Lakers in the weekly standings.

The defending NBA champs jumped from third to No. 1 despite a 2-1 week that included a loss to Dallas. In their last 10 games Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are a solid 8-2 SU, but they haven't been too kind to bettors during that run with a 4-6 record ATS.

UFC Fight Night 23 Results

The big betting upset on the UFC Fight for the Troops 2 card turned out to be the main event. Highly touted Evan Dunham couldn’t handle the speed of the vastly improved Melvin Guillard, who paid out +200 at Bovada. In lightning fashion Guillard beat Dunham to the punch, and closed out the fight with knee kicks in less than three minutes of the first round.

Alexander vs. Bradley Odds

Two undefeated champions will clash in the first super-fight of 2011 when Timothy Bradley squares off against Devon Alexander on Saturday.

Both the WBO and WBC Light Welterweight titles will be on the line, but more importantly the title of pound-for-pound No.1 in the world, and a lucrative future, is within reach of both fighters.

Ring Magazine already has Bradley as the pound-for-pound best in the world, but that title would surely go to Alexander if he’s able to beat the +180 odds at 5Dimes.

NFL Prop Betting Roundup

Quarterbacks are the top draw for NFL prop bettors this weekend, led by Ben Roethlisberger as he tries to lead the Steelers back to the Super Bowl.

Big Ben will be in tough this weekend against a strong Jets defense that has a very good secondary bolstered by the cornerback tandem of Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. At Bovada the oddsmakers are expecting Roethlisberger to still air the ball out a lot after setting his passing yards prop total at 240.5.
