Two mid-week trades and plenty of injury news highlight another busy week in the NFL. With so many surprise teams playing well this season, every win and loss is magnified this season, even as early as Week 6.

Here are some news and trends to take into account for this week’s NFL betting action.

Vikings tackle Bears in Week 6 odds

The Vikings finally got in the win column in Week 5 but will be hard-pressed to make it two straight in Chicago, a place they have not been kind to bettors in recent years.

Minnesota is 1-6-1 ATS in its past eight trips to Chicago. However, they have the benefit of catching the Bears on short rest after they lost to the Lions on Monday Night.

Baseball Odds: Cards vs. Brewers

The St. Louis Cardinals will try to close out the NLCS on Sunday afternoon in Game 6 on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cards took a 3-2 lead in the series with a win in Game 5 on Friday night. Edwin Jackson gets the ball for St. Louis in Sunday's contest, while Milwaukee will counter with Shaun Marcum.

LSU vs Tennessee odds preview

The Tennessee Volunteers hope to be the first team to slow down the red-hot LSU Tigers at home this Saturday.

Historically, these two teams have played close, as they are split 2-2-3 ATS over their last seven games with six of those games being decided by eight points or less.

LSU’s Spencer Ware rushed for two touchdowns and 109 yards in LSU’s blowout win over Florida last week. They remain the nation's top-rated team and 73% of voters are backing the Tigers in the consensus betting numbers here at OddsShark.com.

Gators road chalk at Auburn

The Florida Gators will try to get their season back on track this week on the road against the Auburn Tigers after two straight blowout losses to Alabama and LSU.

Auburn has given Florida trouble recently, going 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS against them in their last four meetings.

Michael Dyer rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown in Auburn’s loss to Arkansas last week. It's a clash of two recent national champions in the tough SEC betting schedule.

Texas vs Oklahoma State Preview

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will try to remain undefeated this week by going into Texas and beating the Longhorns.

Texas had won 12 straight games against Oklahoma State before the Cowboys beat the Longhorns 33-16 last season. And the Longhorns continue to be a disaster for bettors - they are now 6-14 ATS in their past 20 games overall.

Brandon Weeden threw for 288 yards and five touchdowns in the first half last week against Kansas.

The Rangers will try to close out the American League Championship Series on Saturday when they host the Tigers in Game 6 of the set.

Texas gives Derek Holland the start on Saturday, with Max Scherzer the probable pitcher for Detroit. The Tigers pulled out a 7-5 win in Game 5 on Thursday to cut the Rangers' series lead to 3-2.
