Perhaps the biggest mismatch in the NBA goes down tonight in Cleveland with the Cavaliers hosting the 76ers. The Cavs opened as double digit favorites, going as high as -16 at some books, but ATS bettors should be wary as Cleveland has only beaten Philadelphia by ten or more points once in the last four times they’ve played, going 0-4 ATS vs the Sixers in those games.
The Cavs have won three in a row SU vs the Sixers, including a 107-100 win on Monday. In 38 career games vs Philadelphia, LeBron James has been a stat machine, averaging 26.7 points, 6.8 boards, and 7.4 assists.
Besides a strong ATS record vs the Cavs, Philly doesn’t have much else going for them. Even playing after a day off, they’ve gone 0-9 SU in their last nine and they’ve been awful on the road, going 0-7 SU over their last seven. The Sixers are currently last in the league in points per game and are coughing up the second most turnovers in the league. It looks like the never ending rebuilding project in Philadelphia will continue for at least one more year.
