Doug Fister gets the ball for the Tigers at home on Tuesday night, while the Rangers will counter with Colby Lewis. On Monday Texas took a 2-0 series lead with a 7-3 victory in 11 innings.

NASCAR Betting: Bank of America 500

Jimmie Johnson is back in the driver's seat on the NASCAR betting board as the Sprint Cup Series prepares for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Johnson raced to the win in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway last time out, which pushed him to within four points of leader Carl Edwards in the driver standings and up to favored status at 2/1 on the Sprint Cup Championship odds board at Bovada.

Bears Lions Monday Night Football Odds

Opening Lines: Wolverines vs. Spartans

Unlike last week’s fairly lopsided games, this week’s college football card is loaded with intrigue, highlighted by four games between two ranked teams. Undefeated Oklahoma State and Michigan both face tough road tests this week.

Despite the fantastic play of Denard Robinson to start the season, No. 11 Michigan is actually an underdog on the road this week as No. 23 Michigan State is a 3-point home favorite at 5Dimes. Michigan is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS this season, but in their last three games against Michigan State they are 0-3 SU and ATS.

Canucks, Jackets on NHL betting lines

Stanley Cup runners-up Vancouver hit the road in Columbus in search of their first victory on Monday night, after dropping their opener to Pittsburgh last time out.

Bovada has the Canucks as a -160 road favorite against the Blue Jackets. The opening OVER/UNDER total is sitting at 5.5.

Vancouver is missing Ryan Kesler, who is out indefinitely after undergoing hip surgery. The Canucks have a deep roster full of scorers and should still see the majority of action on the NHL betting lines.

Cardinals vs. Brewers Baseball Odds

The Milwaukee Brewers will play host to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.

Milwaukee will send Shaun Marcum to the mound for Monday night's contest, and St. Louis counters with Edwin Jackson in the matchup. The Brewers won Game 1 of the series 9-6 on Sunday afternoon.

Packers Remain Big Chalk in Atlanta

Green Bay takes its 4-0 mark to Atlanta for the Sunday Nighter, opening as 5.5-point chalk against the struggling Falcons.

Atlanta is lucky to not be 0-4 but sit at 2-2 on the year and had better be ready for the Packer offense, which is averaging about 2 TDs less per game on the road. Green Bay continues to take care of business against the spread at 10-3 ATS as a favorite.

The Falcons however are 3-1 ATS since 2008 as a home underdog.

MLB Odds: Cards vs. Brewers

Ryan Braun and the Brewers will be gunning for a win on Sunday afternoon as they host the Cardinals in Game 1 of the NLCS.

Milwaukee got past Arizona in extra innings in Game 5 of their NLDS on Friday night, while St. Louis squeaked out a 1-0 win over Philadelphia in the deciding game of their best-of-five first-round set that same day.

Patriots vs Jets Betting Matchup Report

The New York Jets play their third straight road game, but this time are double-digit underdogs in New England as they try to break a two-game skid.

The Patriots meanwhile are 9-0 SU, 7-1-1 ATS in the past 9 at home in October and are looking to keep the offensive juggernaut rolling. Of note, the OVER is 9-1 in the past 10 games with the Jets as an underdog and 17-3 in 20 games with the Pats as chalk.

If that sounds like an OVER play, check the trends and watch the line moves during the week.

Broncos open as underdog vs Chargers

San Diego has averaged 36 points in its past five trips to Denver, a fact that would imperil UNDER bettors seriously if it gets repeated in Week 5 NFL wagering action Sunday.

It's a pre-bye week game for both teams in this key AFC West clash. Of note, the Chargers' OVER is 11-1 in the past 12 years in pre-bye-week games.

San Diego is 7-2-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings with the Broncos.
