Pitt Favored vs UConn Wednesday

The Connecticut Huskies and the Pittsburgh Panthers will both be looking to get back to .500 on the season in their Wednesday night matchup in Pittsburgh.

While both teams have had similar seasons to this point at 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS, UConn has had the edge in recent seasons in this series with a 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS edge over Pittsburgh.

Lyle McCombs rushed for 130 yards on 32 carries in Connecticut’s last game against South Florida.

NFL Matchup - Bills Redskins Odds Preview

The Buffalo Bills hit the bye on a sour note but hope to sweeten the results against the Washington Redskins coming out of it.

Historically, they have done just that, going 7-2-1 ATS past 10 seasons after BYE week. And they have traditionally owned the Redskins going 5-0 SU and ATS against them since 1993.

Both teams started quickly but have hit the skids a bit. Buffalo gets a 5.5-point opening number to cover at Rogers Center in Toronto.

Colts open as underdog vs Titans

The two biggest blowout victims of Week 7 hook up in Week 8 in what could be dubbed the Stupor Bowl.

The Colts were obliterated 62-7 in New Orleans while the Titans were hammered 41-7 at home by the Houston Texans.

So how bad is Indy that they opened as double-digit underdogs? Pretty bad - as in, copy-the-Lions-0-16-record bad.

Trends typically go out the window in this type of season but the Titans were 7-3 ATS in 10 games vs the Colts with Peyton Manning. They are 4-1 ATS past 5 at home vs the Colts.

Giants Lay 11 Points vs Miami

The New York Giants come out of a bye week in good shape, facing one three winless teams in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins.

The Fins led late but were bitten in the ass by former Gator Tim Tebow, who rallied his Broncos past Miami. The Dolphins are now 0-6 SU and ATS on the year.

These teams have only played five times since 1980 and each game went UNDER the total. It could happen again as the Dolphins have played 5 straight UNDERs and 9 of 11 road games.

Vikings face Panthers in Week 8 odds

Two teams heading for their bye week clash in Carolina where the Vikings visit the Panthers Sunday in Week 8 NFL odds action.

The Cats, coming off a big win over Washington, are just 1-5 ATS past 6 seasons before a BYE week while the Vikings have been a reliable OVER bet (8-2 past 10 seasons before BYE week).

The Rams are 0-7 ATS in their past 7 games as an underdog. (Best underdog line may be at Bovada today )

Cardinals visit Ravens in Week 8 battle

Arizona gets its second straight major test, after failing its first at home last week against Pittsburgh.

The Cardinals get the Baltimore Ravens on a short week (Monday Nighter) and they have just three wins in 17 tries as an underdog recently. They are also just 3-11 ATS in their past 14 road games (including 10 straight SU losses).

Pats in Pittsburgh to highlight NFL odds

Another exciting NFL betting card this week is highlighted by a matchup between the AFC’s two five-win teams, the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. The winner will have the best record in the AFC and an inside track to the conference’s top seed.

New England is a 2.5-point road favorite at 5Dimes as they have looked like the sharper team to this point. The Patriots have dominated this series in recent years, going 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against the Steelers.

Houston vs Rice NCAA Matchup

The Houston Cougars hope to stay undefeated and keep their dream season alive when they host the Rice Owls this Thursday night.

Rice has won two of the last three SU against Houston and are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Cougars, but did fall 73-14 the last time they played in Houston.

Case Keenum became college football’s all-time leader in total offense last week with 376 yards passing and six passing touchdowns against Marshall.

NASCAR Betting: Tums Fast Relief 500

Carl Edwards leads the Sprint Cup standings and the NASCAR betting board as the circuit's drivers get set to take on Martinsville Speedway in the Tums Fast Relief 500 on Sunday afternoon.

Edwards is up by 14 points on Matt Kenseth in the driver standings after six Chase events, and as a result he's the 2/3 favorite at Bovada to win the Sprint Cup championship this season. Edwards leads all drivers with 16 Top-5 finishes and 22 Top-10 results through the first 32 races of the 2011 season.

Monday Night Football Prop Odds

The game looks one-sided making the list of Monday Night Football prop odds especially interesting as the Ravens and Jaguars clash tonight.

Baltimore opened as 8.5-point favorites and bettors pushed the point spread up past -10.5 at one online sportsbook (TopBet), which is rare for a road team on national TV. And the total has hovered around 38.5.
