Mississippi State, coming off a rout of the Texas A&M Aggies that upped its record in SEC play to 2-0, continues its quest for a division title when it battles defending SEC champion Auburn on Saturday in Starkville. But the Tigers are also 2-0 in SEC play, and they've beaten the Bulldogs in 11 of their last 13 meetings, covering the spread in eight of the last 12 games.
Last year the 'Dogs led the Tigers 20-17 but Auburn scored with 10 seconds to go to steal a 24-20 victory, on its way to the SEC championship.
The Auburn Tigers will look to cover ATS vs their hosts on Saturday, as they are 3-2 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Mississippi State Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS. Auburn is 2-3 against the over under total, while Mississippi State is 3-2 versus the number.
