Betting line favors Titans over Broncos

Tennessee opened as 4.5-point favorites but were quickly bet up to -7.5 early this week as the Titans vs Broncos line went up.

The Titans were upset winners over the Baltimore Ravens, shocking many in the football betting world. Denver beat Cincinnati but failed to cover a small home spread.

The teams have met three times since 2003 with the Broncos winning and covering all three. All three have gone OVER the total.

Saints vs Texans Odds Preview

Oddsmakers finally seem to believe the Houston Texans are for real, after several years of teasing.

The Texans are just 4-point underdogs as they visit the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. Houston is 2-0 but the Saints were dominant in thrashing the Bears. The home team won both prior meetings in 2004 and 2007.

But what about the Texans and the fact they have lost 6 in a row as an underdog? They are 1-5 ATS in those games. Should more action be heading to the Saints late this week?

Vikings vs Lions Betting Report

Detroit has lost 16 of the last 17 games in Minnesota, but the 2011 edition of the Lions is a much different one than many of those earlier ones.

So, it seems, are the Vikings, although not in a good way. A week after being the biggest favorite in 11 years, the 2-0 Lions opened as 4-point favorites against 0-2 Minnesota.

Detroit has been a road favorite just three other times since 2005 (and lost all three) but the betting public is sticking with them here in a place they never win.

Of note, the past 6 meetings between these teams all played UNDER the total.

Browns Perfect ATS in Career vs Miami

Miami has never covered the spread in four career games against the Cleveland Browns and they are underdogs on the road in Week 3.

The 0-2 Dolphins played much better in Week 2, while the Browns were a rare road favorite and covered in Indy.

The opening line has jumped around quickly at sportsbooks tracked by Odds Shark, indicating some early betting volatility.

The Browns have sucked at home for bettors recently, going 0-5 ATS past 5 home games. Meanwhile the Dolphins have been excellent in this situation going 11-3 ATS in their past 14 road games.

Bengals Horrible As Home Favorites

This is a spot where the Cincinnati Bengals almost never cover the spread - at home as a favorite.
The past 14 games when they were favored at home, they covered the spread just twice (2-14 ATS). The home team has won all four meetings between these teams dating from 1996 and the host Bengals opened as favorites here in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Historically, the Bengals always lose to the 49ers going 2-9 SU in 11 meetings since 1980. But in the past 7 contests, the Bengals are 5-1-1 ATS. Both teams are 1-1 and both teams have played 2 OVERs so far.

Jaguars face Panthers in Week 3 odds

Expansion cousins in 1995, the cat fight between the Jaguars and Panthers has only happpened four times with Jacksonville leading 3-1 ATS.

This time, the struggling Jaguars face the exciting Panthers, led by rookie QB Cam Newton who has thrown for over 400 yards in his first two starts. Unfortunately, both have been losses.

Carolina has lost 11 of 12 SU, while 7 of the past 10 Jaguars road games have gone OVER the total.

NCAA Football Opening Odds Report

As many schools dive into conference play in Week 4 of the college football season, four matchups between ranked teams highlight an exciting college football betting slate.

The best passing attack in the country in No. 7 Oklahoma State is a 3.5-point underdog at Bovada at No. 8 Texas A&M this week. Recent matchups favor the Cowboys, as Oklahoma State is 3-0 SU in the last three meetings between these two teams and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four.

Patriots among 7 road favorites

NFL betting is always full of surprises, but who would have expected this week’s matchup between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills to be a battle of undefeated teams?

The Patriots starting off 2-0 isn’t any surprise, as they are now 16-2 SU in their last 18 regular season games. But for a Buffalo team that finished last season 4-12, the hot start is a bit of a head-scratcher.

Baseball Betting: Rays vs. Yankees

The Tampa Bay Rays will continue their late quest for the AL Wild Card on Tuesday when they open a four-game series at Yankee Stadium.

The Rays tangled with the Red Sox at Fenway Park for positioning in that playoff race over the weekend. Tampa Bay and the Yankees split a shortened two-game series in New York when they last met in August.

MLB Odds: Angels vs. Blue Jays

With time running out on their playoff chances, the Los Angeles Angels continue their MLB betting series in Toronto on Wednesday.

The Angels give the ball to Dan Haren (15-9, 3.24 ERA) for Wednesday's outing. Righthander Haren was knocked around by the Orioles last time out, allowing seven runs over his five innings.
