North Carolina State is a big home underdog on Thursday, when the No. 3 Clemson rolls into town for an ACC clash.
The explosive Tigers opened as 13-point favorites. The Wolf Pack has covered the spread in the last three meetings, including in last season’s 63-48 shootout loss at Clemson. But they has lost eight of nine SU.
Tigers’ QB Tajh Boyd accounted for eight touchdowns and 529 yards of offense in the win.
Both teams had the weekend off for extra preparation time. North Carolina State is 2-0, but struggled to nip Richmond in its last game. Eleven true freshman are playing significant minutes for the Wolf Pack.
Clemson is 2-0 with a big win over No. 5 Georgia and a blowout of cupcake South Carolina State.
