UFC 205: What’s Next For The Event’s Biggest Stars

UFC 205 was a landmark event for the MMA world. And though it was a massive moment in the sport's history, it is still another spoke in the wheel. The UFC is going to keep chugging along, and with that in mind, I play booker and predict who the biggest stars from UFC 205 will face off with next.

I'm also going to make a projection as to roughly where the lines for these potential matches could close near. I'm far from a bookmaker, so these are my personal estimations based on my knowledge of the subject matter. To reiterate, these are hypothetical lines for hypothetical fights.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao II Betting Odds

When Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally faced off in the ring after years of speculation, it was a dud. A pedestrian affair (at best) between two of the best boxers of this generation. Pac-Man had an injured shoulder and Mayweather did the bare minimum to win a decision.

Jonny Knows Picks: NFL Edition Week 10

Another week of a lot of small spreads in the NFL. Let's get to it.

I went 3-4-2  last week and I'm now 14-25-4 over the last seven weeks. Hope to gain some ground this week. Here's a look at who I like:

Broncos-Saints -2.5, 48.5

  • Similar matchup the Broncos had last week against the Raiders. Facing a great O-line and poor defense. I think the O-line neutralizes an excellent Broncos front 7 and Denver doesn’t score enough to keep up with a team like the Saints.

Pick: Saints

Oilers Continue To Go UNDER In Edmonton

The Edmonton Oilers have been getting by first and foremost thanks to their high-powered offense, but scoring has been hard to come by at Rogers Place. The Oilers and their opponents have averaged a combined 4.2 goals per game in the past five games in Edmonton, with the UNDER cashing in each of those outings. Edmonton will be the backdrop when the Oilers take on the New York Rangers Sunday.

Blackhawks Have Had The Habs’ Numbers

The Chicago Blackhawks may be in prime position to take down the NHL-leading Montreal Canadiens Sunday. Chicago, who is 7-1-2 at the United Center this season, host a Montreal squad that has not beaten them in regulation since 2009.

UNC Failed Bettors At Chapel Hill Last Season

The North Carolina Tar Heels play their home opener when they host the Chattanooga Mocs Sunday. Though UNC will more than likely win the affair, they may have some difficulties covering the spread at home if last season is any indication. UNC posted a poor 6-13-2 ATS record at Chapel Hill last season and covered in back-to-back home games just once.

Cavs Struggling To Cover The Spread At Home

Despite losing just one game this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been far from a safe bet. The Cavs are just 3-5 ATS through their first eight games of the season, which includes failing to cover in their past four at home. Cleveland will be the location when the surprising Charlotte Hornets take on the Cavs Sunday.

NFL Week 10 Betting Primer

Here we go again. It's Week 10 and it's time to get after it, but not without doing a little bit of homework first.

Will the Green Bay Packers Make the Playoffs?

The Green Bay Packers have been a staple as one of the top teams in the NFL for the better part of a decade, but their reign of dominance in the NFC could be coming to an end.

After nine weeks, Green Bay (4-4) sat in third place in the NFC North, behind archrivals Minnesota (5-3) and Detroit (5-4). The green and gold are losers of two straight, and even though there’s plenty of time left in the campaign, many Packers faithful believe the sky is starting to fall above Lambeau Field.
