UNDER Hot When Rays, Giants Meet

To say the Tampa Bay Rays have had a crazy start to the regular season would be an understatement. After going 2-11, they rattled off nine victories in their next 11 before losing one to Seattle and two to the San Francisco Giants. Tampa will tangle with the Giants once again at AT&T Park on Sunday.

Shark Bites
  • The UNDER is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings.
  • The Rays are 0-4 in their last 4 interleague home games.
  • The OVER is 5-2 in Peavys last 7 road starts.

Jake Peavy and Jake Orodizzi are expected to get the start for the Giants and Rays, respectively. Peavy (3-6, 5.83 ERA) has held two of his last three opponents without a run while winning both contests, but they’re his only triumphs in his past nine outings. Odorizzi has completed more than six innings just once in his last eight starts and is 3-1 with a 3.74 ERA over that span.

San Fran outfielder Gregor Blanco is on an absolute tear for his team right now. Blanco is 9-for-20 with four RBI during a five-game hitting streak.

Price Having Issues With the Long Ball

Boston’s starting pitching has been crucial to its success in the 2016 MLB campaign, but it hasn’t been as fluid as they were hoping for. Boston faces off against Seattle on Sunday.

Shark Bites
  • The Mariners are 1-5 in Walkers last 6 starts.
  • The OVER is 9-1-1 in the last 11 meetings in Boston.
  • The Mariners are 1-6 in their last 7 Sunday games.

The BoSox will send ace David Price to the mound, while the Mariners will counter with Taijuan Walker. Price (7-4, 4.52 ERA) has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of his last seven starts but is having some trouble with the long ball. Price has given up five home runs in 23 innings over his last three appearances to boost his season total of 12 in 91.5 innings.

Walker (3-6, 3.69 ERA) left his last start against Tampa Bay on Tuesday due to foot issues but was declared good to go for today. He recently snapped a seven-start winless streak on June 8.

2016 European Grand Prix Odds

Lewis Hamilton European Grand Prix Mercedes

Don’t look now, but things are getting very interesting at the top of the Formula 1 drivers’ standings.

Mercedes still dominates at the top but Lewis Hamilton has now won back-to-back races heading into Sunday’s European Grand Prix in Baku, Azerbaijan and has closed teammate Nico Rosberg’s lead to just nine points.

Rosberg won the first four races of the season and established a huge lead over everyone but that was followed by a first-ever victory for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and then the double by Hamilton.

Romania Has Huge Edge Over Albania

Bogdan Stancu Romania Euro 2016

With the expanded format at Euro 2016, there is a real possibility that one of Romania or Albania will advance to the next stage of the tournament. A winner in Sunday’s contest from either side could see them advance as one of the top third-place teams. That said, this has been a totally one-sided rivalry over the years and if history is any indication, we know which way this is going.

French-Swiss Matchup Caps Group A

The hosts of Euro 2016 relied on late magic in both of their first two group matches against Albania and Romania. France will not want to play things so close to the chest against a Swiss team that is significantly more talented than either of the two previous French conquests.

Porcello Excelling at Fenway

Fresh off an 8-4 defeat to the Seattle Mariners, the Boston Red Sox will now turn to a pitcher that’s had tremendous success at home this season. Rick Porcello, who’s scheduled to get the start for the BoSox, has won all five of his starts at Fenway Park this season.

Shark Bites
  • The OVER is 4-1 in the Mariners last 5 games.
  • The Red Sox are 1-4 in their last 5 home games.
  • The Mariners are 2-5 in their last 7 road games.

Adrian Sampson will counter the the M’s. Samson is filling the hole in the rotation for Wade Miley and will be making his major league debut. The 24-year-old has made 13 starts for Triple-A Tacoma, going 7-4 with a 3.25 ERA while striking out 61 batters and walking only 12.

Porcello has pitched at least six innings in each of his last four outings, but he’s surrendered five home runs during that span. Seth Smith (6-for-13) and Robinson Cano (9-for-24) have fared well against Porcello.
