Game 4 is always a pivotal one as a team can tie the baseball betting series or fall behind 3-1.  It is likely to be a battle of the fourth starters and that means Joe Blanton for the Phillies against Madison Bumgarner for the Giants.

NFL Week 7 Betting Trends

After winning the Panic Bowl over Dallas last week, can the Minnesota Vikings keep it going this week when Brett Favre makes another trip back to Green Bay? What say you, NFL betting trends?

Unfortunately for Vikings fans, the trends say no. Minnesota has been dreadful on the road all season and they have lost six in a row away from home, during which time they're 2-4 ATS. Oddly enough the last road game the Vikings won was last season's trip to Green Bay.

Chargers Remain Atop Power Rankings

Our computerized formula spit the San Diego Chargers out as the No. 1 team in our power rankings for the second week in a row.

If the formula included special teams and bone-headed mistakes, it would look a whole lot different. While their offense is potent, they have lost to the Rams, Raiders, Chiefs and Seahawks while defeating only lowly Arizona and Jacksonville (who are both in the bottom five of this list).

Bellator 33 Odds: Alvarez vs Huerta

Bookmakers are making Eddie Alvarez (20-2) a heavy -240 favorite at to beat the one-time UFC top contender Roger "El Matador" Huerta (24-4-1) on Thursday at Bellator 33.

The Lightweight champion gets Huerta as a replacement opponent after Season 2 Lightweight tournament winner Pat Curran suffered a shoulder injury and had to pull out of his title shot with Alvarez.

Week 17 CFL Odds Preview

It’s getting crunch time in the CFL, as there are only three games left to play and three teams have clinched playoff spots and the other four teams are all still alive for the last three.

MLB Playoff Odds NLCS ALCS

San Francisco will be the second home team in as many days to bear the title of underdog when they host Philadelphia for Game 3 of the NLCS on Tuesday.

Giants hitters Buster Posey, Pat Burrell, and Aubrey Huff were a dismal 0 for 11 in the team's 6-1 loss in Game 2. Yet, most online sportsbooks only give the Phillies a -115 edge for Game 3 on Tuesday. The contest might also warrant a serious look at the UNDER, with the total currently sitting at 6.5 at most books.

NFL Week 7 Opening Odds

Last week, favorites finally had the last laugh, finishing 7-6-1 ATS to earn a narrow victory over underdogs, a trend we predicted here.

Most of the victories last week were narrow as well, with eight of the 14 games decided by four points or less. With just a few exceptions, this week’s batch of opening lines appears to be predicting another weekend of close and competitive games.

Underdog NHL Bets on Midweek Odds

There are just four games on the NHL betting menu for Tuesday night, but it sure looks tantalizing for bettors who like big payouts on intelligent underdog bets.

Something has to give when underdog Boston takes on Washington. The Bruins are undefeated in both road games thus far, and the Capitals are 3-0 at home. Washington will be the heavy favorites on the Capitals Bruins odds lines when they face off at the Verizon Center.

Monday Night Football Odds Stats

The Jaguars have pulled off two straight upsets both straight-up and against the spread. Can they pull off another one on Monday night when they host Tennessee as the underdog or will the Week 6 trend continues for favorites?

Jacksonville's latest upset came last week when they knocked off Buffalo 36-26 as a 2.5-point road underdog. David Garrard had a solid showing against the Bills, completing 16 of 20 pass attempts for 178 yards with three touchdown strikes and an interception.

Yankees Home Dogs in ALCS Game 3

The ALCS shifts to New York tonight, with the Rangers and ace Cliff Lee opening as a tempting -115 road favorites to grab a lead in the series.

After blowing a late lead in the ALCS opener, Texas shook their dreadful 11-game losing skid to New York with a 7-2 victory in Game 2. The scene is set for Lee to take the mound in a meaningful Game 3 on Monday against the Yankees' Andy Pettitte, the winningest pitcher in postseason history.
