College Football Odds: Openers

Oregon and Kansas State are now the favorites to reach the national championship game after a weekend that shook up the BCS. The Ducks and Wildcats vaulted to the top of the BCS standings after Texas A&M’s stunning upset of Alabama.

However, neither team can afford to go into coast mode just yet. Oregon hosts Stanford this week and is facing another potential showdown against USC in the Pac 12 Championship Game. The Ducks were holding steady as 21.5-point favorites over the Cardinal after opening higher at several shops.

New England has won 17 of 18 against Buffalo, but they have struggled at home in November.

Which trend do you like best? Do any of them matter? Trends can cut both ways and it’s usually some other handicapping angle – like the fact the Pats are coming off a bye or the fact the Bills never win in the division – that is more significant.
