College Football Odds: Openers

Oregon and Kansas State are now the favorites to reach the national championship game after a weekend that shook up the BCS. The Ducks and Wildcats vaulted to the top of the BCS standings after Texas A&M’s stunning upset of Alabama.


However, neither team can afford to go into coast mode just yet. Oregon hosts Stanford this week and is facing another potential showdown against USC in the Pac 12 Championship Game. The Ducks were holding steady as 21.5-point favorites over the Cardinal after opening higher at several shops.



NBA Odds: Celtics, Bulls on slate

The NBA betting slate tips off in Chicago on Monday night this week as the Bulls look to continue their ATS dominance over the Boston Celtics. That's just one of the NBA odds matchups on the schedule for Monday and Tuesday night this week.

The Celtics are just 3-7 SU and an ugly 2-8 ATS over their past 10 games against the Bulls dating back to early 2010, although Chicago would have had injured point guard Derrick Rose in the lineup for most of those contests.

After sending just two teams to the dance last year, the Pac-12 is hoping for a much better season across the conference in 2012/13. An influx of exciting freshman recruits has the Arizona Wildcats and the UCLA Bruins pegged as the early favorites out West.


NASCAR Betting: Ford EcoBoost 400

Brad Keselowski will be looking to pay out for his supporters on the NASCAR futures at the sportsbooks on Sunday afternoon as the Sprint Cup Series closes out its 2012 season with the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Keselowski took the lead on rival Jimmie Johnson in the Sprint Cup Series standings after he ended up in sixth place over the weekend at the AdvoCare 500 at Phoenix International Raceway; Johnson ran into trouble and finished back in 32nd place at that event.

The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears will both be going for their eighth win of the season when the Bears host the Texans this Sunday night at Soldier Field.

Both teams are 7-1 SU with Houston holding the slight edge ATS at 6-2 to Chicago's 5-2-1.

Houston is 2-0 SU and ATS all time against the Chicago Bears. The Texans are 7-2 SU and ATS over their last nine road games while Chicago is 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS over its last nine home games.

The game opened as a PK at shops such as BetOnline and has remained even through the week. The total was sitting at 41 at Bovada as of Friday and some are predicting a high-scoring game.


NFL Trends: Week 10

New England has won 17 of 18 against Buffalo, but they have struggled at home in November.

Which trend do you like best? Do any of them matter? Trends can cut both ways and it’s usually some other handicapping angle – like the fact the Pats are coming off a bye or the fact the Bills never win in the division – that is more significant.


Eagles vs Cowboys Betting Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles will try to break out of a four-game SU losing streak and a three-game ATS losing streak when they host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The line has swung 4 points since opening with the Eagles as 2-point favorites and Dallas was 2-point chalk at Bovada as of Friday afternoon.

The total has gone UNDER in eight of Dallas's last 11 games and in seven of Philadelphia's last 10 games. Philadelphia is 9-4 SU and 8-4-1 ATS in its last 13 home games against the Cowboys.


Saints vs Falcons Betting Matchup Report

The New Orleans Saints have won three straight and eight of their last 10 games against the Atlanta Falcons and will try to break Atlanta's undefeated streak when they host the Falcons this Sunday at the Superdome.

New Orleans is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games against Atlanta and has won 10 of 12 going back six seasons.

Atlanta is a perfect 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS on the season. New Orleans is 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS over its last five games. Both teams have been dominant in the month of November, with the Saints winning 12 straight.

Still, the spread has been bet up to -3 at Bovada and some other online sportsbooks.


Monday Night Football: Pitt vs KC

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to break a five-game losing streak when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field this Monday night.

Remarkably, the the 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS Chiefs haven't had a regulation lead at any point this season.

After a slow start to the season, Pittsburgh looks to be back on track with a 3-0 SU and ATS run over its last three games. The Steelers are 13-1 SU and 10-4 ATS over their last 14 games at home.
