Orioles get visit from the Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to extend a winning streak against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night as the teams open a three-game MLB betting series at Camden Yards.

The Blue Jays have picked up the victory in each of their last four games against the Orioles, and overall they're 6-4 on the MLB odds for their supporters against Baltimore this season. The OVER/UNDER went 7-3 for totals bettors in those contests.

Mark Buehrle gets the ball in front of a hostile crowd for the Blue Jays on this day; he's 5-5 on the season. The Orioles, meanwhile, will counter with Chris Tillman, who will be looking to improve on his 10-3 mark.

Giants open betting set in San Diego

The San Francisco Giants will be looking to make up some ground in the NL West division standings on Thursday night as they open up a four-game road MLB betting series in San Diego.

The Giants and Padres have already met nine times this season, with San Francisco pulling out the victory for their supporters on the MLB odds in five of those contests. The OVER/UNDER went 4-5 for totals bettors in those nine games.

The Padres will turn to Jason Marquis and his 9-4 record as they look for a win in this one, while the Giants send Madison Bumgarner (9-5) to the hill.

NBA Free Agency Player Props

A lot of big names have been on the move during NBA free agency, highlighted, of course, by Dwight Howard’s move from Los Angeles to Houston.

College Football Betting: Line Moves

We’re just seven weeks away from kickoff of the college football season, and Week 1 lines are already on the move.
Have these lines settled for good or is more shuffling on the way?
Let's take a look at three of the biggest line movements on the board over at 5Dimes, which posted lines on a handful of Week 1 games in late April (5Dimes has since posted lines on all of Week 1's games).

Phillies continue series against Nats

Cliff Lee is the probable pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies for Wednesday night as they continue their MLB betting series at home against the Washington Nationals.

Lee is 10-2 with a 2.73 ERA on the season, and in his nine career starts against the Nationals he's 6-3 with a 2.48 ERA and 66 strikeouts over 65 1-3 innings of work. The lefthander held the Nats to two runs over eight innings back on June 18.

Gio Gonzalez will pitch for the Nationals; he's 6-3 on the year and has a 3.14 ERA.

Free Agent Props: Iginla, Briere

Will Daniel Alfredsson score 20 goals with the Detroit Red Wings?

Will Jarone Iginla score more than 61 points with the Boston Bruins?

The NHL season is months away, but hype surrounding the NHL free agent class of 2013 has oddsmaker Bovada responding to public interest by posting NHL free agent prop bets.

Iginla's over-under for goals is 27.5. He is expected to start the season on Boston's top line.

Sabathia takes the hill for Yankees

CC Sabathia is the probable starting pitcher for the New York Yankees on Tuesday night as they continue their four-game MLB betting series at home against the Kansas City Royals.

Sabathia is 9-6 with a 4.06 ERA so far this season, but he's 18-10 with a 3.26 ERA over his 35 career starts against the Royals. The lefthander has struck out 199 batters while allowing just 13 home runs in 234 2-3 innings vs. the Royals.

James Shields, with a record of 3-6 on the season, gets the ball for the Royals.

NFL Betting: Underdogs to know

The New England Patriots have been underdogs only 14 times in the last seven years. They covered the spread in 11 of those occasions.
With a troubled offseason and one of the toughest schedules in the league, the Patriots could find themselves in the underdog role much more this season.

Rangers open up series in Baltimore

The Texas Rangers will send lefthander Derek Holland to the mound on Monday night as they open up a four-game MLB betting series against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

Holland is 6-4 with a 3.13 ERA on the season, and he gave up just two runs on seven hits over six innings while fanning 10 batters against the Mariners last time out. The Rangers are 7-3 on the MLB odds in their last 10 games against the O's.

Baltimore sends Scott Feldman out against Holland in this game. Feldman is 7-6 with a 3.43 ERA on the season.

Rockets odds climb with Howard deal

Some say Dwight Howard is only half the player he used to be, so that makes the math on the Houston Rockets' NBA odds being cut in half a little confusing.

Howard announced he will sign as a free agent in Houston and abandon the crumbling Los Angeles Lakers empire.

Oddsmakers at Bovada quickly chopped the Rockets' title odds in half from 20-1 to 10-1, tied with the Bulls and Clippers as the third betting choice. The Heat and Thunder remain far and away the top betting choices.
