Mavericks Own Series With Wizards

Just how up and down have the Washington Wizards been this season? Considering they recently beat the powerhouse Cleveland Cavaliers and lost to the lowly Los Angeles Lakers, it's safe to say consistency hasn't been their strong suit this year. John Wall and company will be looking to right the ship Sunday when they welcome Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks to town.

Shark Bites
  • The Mavericks are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 vs. Eastern Conference.
  • The UNDER is 4-1 in the Mavericks last 5 games.
  • The UNDER is 4-1-1 in the Wizards last 6 games.

The Wiz (8-9 SU & ATS) haven't been nearly as solid as the Mavs (11-9 SU, 12-8 ATS) at the betting window and should be approached with caution going forward by bettors. Dallas's defense has let them down lately, however, surrendering an average of 105.4 points in their last five losses.

The Mavericks have dominated this series in recent years, claiming each of their last 10 meetings with the Wizards.

Suns Have Been an Awful Bet Lately

Phoenix Suns Eric Bledsoe

The Phoenix Suns have been one of the most unreliable teams in the NBA when it comes to covering the spread lately, going 1-7 ATS in their last eight games. That's a trend that won't inspire much confidence in Suns bettors ahead of Sunday's home tilt with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Shark Bites
  • The OVER is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between the Suns and Grizzlies in Memphis.
  • The Suns are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against the Grizzlies.
  • The Suns are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Western Conference.

Memphis has faced some stiff competition as of late and hasn't been able to get the job done. The Grizzlies' last four losses have come at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and twice agains the San Antonio Spurs. Considering the Suns' recent struggles, Sunday would be as good of a time as any to turn things around.

The Grizz have loved facing the Suns lately, emerging triumphant in each of their last seven meetings with the Suns.

NHL Betting: Penguins vs Ducks Odds

Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby

Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson has been lights out in recent contests, collecting two shutouts in three of his last appearances. He'll be between the pipes Sunday when the Ducks play host to Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Shark Bites
  • The visiting team is 4-10 SU in its last 14 games in this matchup.
  • The Penguins are 6-2 SU in their last eight games after a loss.
  • The Penguins are 1-7 SU in their last eight games on the road in December.

The Pens are historically a solid bet against the Ducks, going 4-0 in their previous four matchups against Anaheim. Anaheim, who toppled San Jose 1-0 on Friday, has been struggling immensely to string together wins. Corey Perry and company are 0-5 in their last five games following a win.

NCAAB Betting: Vanderbilt vs Baylor

Sunday's slate of college hoops action pits thirteenth-ranked Vanderbilt against twenty third-ranked Baylor in the most anticipated contest of the day.

Shark Bites
  • Vanderbilt is 6-1 SU in its last seven games.
  • The total has gone OVER in four of Baylor's last five games as home favorites.
  • Vanderbilt is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games as road underdogs in December.

Vandy has been a dynamite spread bet on the road in recent games, posting a sizzling 7-1 ATS record in their last eight away from home. Baylor hasn't seen the floor since Dec. 2 (an 80-41 pummelling of Prairie View A&M) which bodes well for them. The Bears have been money on extra rest, going 9-0 in their previous nine with more than three days off.

NFL Week 13 Betting Trends Analysis

Talk about a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team. That's what San Francisco has been this season with its home/road splits.

The 49ers are 3-3 at Levi's Stadium holding opponents to 15.8 points per game there. They would rank No. 1 in scoring defense if that figure took into account all of their games.

Unfortunately the 49ers have played five away contests. In those games, they are giving up an average of 35.2 points a game, which would rank last in the league if just those games counted.

SNF Betting Preview: Colts at Steelers

No Andrew Luck? No problem. The Indianapolis Colts picked up yet another victory in Week 12 with injured quarterback Andrew Luck sidelined due to injury and improved to 4-0 with 40-year-old signal caller Matt Hasselback under center. Only one other quarterback collected four straight wins in his 40s – the old gunslinger Brett Favre. Hasselback will be seeking to make it 5-0 when he and the Colts invade Heinz Stadium in Sunday Night Football to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone UNDER in 13 of the Colts' last 18 games.
  • The Steelers are 7-0 SU and ATS in their last seven games in December.
  • The Colts are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as underdogs in December.

Indy doesn’t have the best track record against Pittsburgh, going 2-12 SU in their last 14 games against the Steelers. The Colts have quietly become a great bet in the last few months, covering the spread in six out of their last seven games.

Big 10 Championship Odds: Iowa vs MSU

Big Ten Championship Iowa Michigan State

The Big Ten Championship, and a likely spot in the playoffs, are up for grabs when Michigan State and Iowa meet at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday. Iowa has been a good bet in their games against the Spartans, with the Hawkeyes going 9-3 ATS in their past 12 against Michigan State.

Yes, Iowa is perfect. Yes, people are more sceptical of Iowa than any other team in the country. Hawkeyes opponents this season have a combined winning percentage of 46.2 percent with seven of their 12 opponents finishing under .500. If Iowa beats the Spartans they will be an undefeated team in a Power Five conference and it will be next to impossible to not include them in the playoffs.

The Spartans were not letting anyone question them with a 55-16 dismantling of Penn State last week. Connor Cook eliminated any doubts that could be raised as he completed 73 percent of his passes while throwing three touchdowns after returning from a shoulder injury.

North Carolina vs Clemson ACC Odds

Clemson Football

North Carolina and Clemson meet at the Bank of America Stadium this Saturday with the ACC championship on the line. There hasn’t been many upsets when these two teams clash, as the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the past four meetings between the Tigers and Tar Heels.

Sure, UNC lost to South Carolina and have beaten two FCS opponents, but the Tar Heels have been hard to ignore on the field. North Carolina ranks in the top 20 in the nation in rushing yards, points and points allowed. Sophomore running back Elijah Wood has been setting the world on-fire, as he has rushed for 536 yards and eight touchdowns in the past four games.

Clemson is 12-0 for the first time since they won the national championship in 1981. The Tigers have been one of the best all-around teams in the nation this season with the offense ranking 14th and their defense eighth. Clemson also has a legitimate Heisman-candidate in Deshaun Watson who has thrown for 27 touchdowns while adding nine with his feet.

College Football Week 14 Expert Picks

The Michigan State Spartans are 7-1 straight up and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games coming off an ATS win the week before. Michigan State will try to lock up the Big Ten championship and a playoff spot this Saturday when they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Michigan State is a 3.5-point favorite against Iowa according to online sportsbook 5Dimes. Iowa has had an excellent season going undefeated to this point, but it hasn't faced a team of Michigan State's caliber.

UNDERs Aplenty Between Jazz, Pacers

The Indiana Pacers saw their six-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday but will be attempting to get back to their winning ways Saturday versus Gordon Hayward and the Utah Jazz.

Shark Bites
  • The UNDER is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between the Jazz and Pacers in Utah.
  • The Pacers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Western Conference.
  • The OVER is 5-2 in the Pacers' last 7 overall.

An up and coming team that's prone to experiencing growing pains, the Jazz have won just two of their last six heading into the tilt. Utah (8-9 SU) ranks in the middle of the pack when it comes to covering the spread this season at 10-7 ATS but should be a team to watch as the season unfolds. Considering how the Western Conference is suddenly weakened, the Jazz have a legitimate shot of making the playoffs this year.

When the Pacers and Jazz collide, low-scoring games are the story. The UNDER has paid out in four of the last five matchups between the clubs.
