Giants are Cruising Behind Bumgarner

The San Francisco Giants and the Pittsburgh Pirates are on opposite ends of spectrum in the National League right now, and they’ll do battle on Monday at PNC Park.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone UNDER in five of the Giants' last seven games as a moneyline favorite of -200 or more.
  • The total has gone OVER in the Pirates' last nine games with Jeff Locke as the starting pitcher.
  • The Pirates are 18-7 SU in their last 25 games at home after consecutive losses at home.

San Fran has built a 6.5 game lead over L.A. in the National League West and has won eight-straight contests since June 10, while the Pirates have dropped 10 of their last 11 tilts.

Madison Bumgarner and Jeff Locke will get the nod for the tilt. Bumgarner (8-2, 1.91 ERA) improved to 7-0 over his last 10 starts Tuesday as he limited Milwaukee to two runs and four hits in eight innings. Locke has surrendered 18 runs and 20 hits while working only 8.5 innings over his last two outings.

Despite their recent slide, the Buccos have enjoyed some success against the Giants. Pittsburgh is 6-1 in its last seven versus San Francisco.

Germany Huge Favorite vs Northern Ireland

In a classic minnow vs shark game Northern Ireland will attempt to take down a German squad that isn’t looking like the well-oiled machine that won the World Cup in 2014. The Norn Iron have not played the Germans since an international friendly in 2005 and will look for their first win over Deutschland since 1983.

Dustin Johnson Wins Wild U.S. Open

Dustin Johnson PGA

It wasn’t easy, but Dustin Johnson finally got his major moment by capturing the 116th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club on Sunday.

Johnson, who entered the day three strokes back of Shane Lowry, persevered through some questionable decision-making by the United States Golf Association to finish the tournament atop the leaderboard at 5 under par. Lowry, Jim Furyk and Scott Piercy shared second place at 1 under, while Sergio Garcia and Branden Grace were right behind them at even par.

Top Three Downtown Las Vegas Casinos

Poker Chips Casino Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip has grown tremendously over the past few decades to become one of the top tourist destinations for adults all over the world. Many casino hotels have made a strong effort to build new resorts that cater to people from different countries along with those within the United States, whether it be pools, restaurants, shows or other attractions. However, no matter what they do, none of them compare to Old Vegas, located downtown and spearheaded by the popular Fremont Street Experience.

What’s Behind the White Sox’ Collapse?

Chris Sale White Sox

It was a little more than a month ago that the Chicago White Sox were steamrolling their way towards the top of the World Series futures odds list. They entered the regular season with +3300 odds to win the World Series, and saw those odds climb all the way up to +1100 after a hot start. But here we are in mid-June, and the ChiSox have gone 9-23 since May 10 and their odds have dropped way down to +4000.

So, what’s the deal?

NBA Finals: Game 7 Betting Preview

No team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors haven’t lost three games in a row since November, 2013. Something’s gotta give in Game 7 at Oracle Arena.

Shark Bites
  • The Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.
  • The Cavaliers are 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Golden State.
  • The UNDER is 3-0-1 in the Warriors last 4 home games.

For a city that’s endured 52 years of sporting misery, a championship would mean the world to the city of Cleveland. In LeBron James’ second season, the Cavs had an up-and-down campaign but are coming together at the right time. James and point guard Kyrie Irving have been otherworldly, and they’ve done something that’s hard to do: make the Warriors look human.

The shots just haven’t been falling for the Warriors in this series. Golden State showed signs of frustration in Game 6, as superstar Stephen Curry and head coach Steve Kerr were fined $25,000 for their respective outbursts. Curry threw his mouthguard into the Cavs’ faithful in a rare event for the usually cool point guard.

If the Cavs can finally win the title, they may build a statue for James by the start of the next season. King James joined Jerry West, Shaquille O’Neal, Rick Barry and Michael Jordan as the only players in Finals history to score 40 or more points in consecutive games.

Sportsbooks opened the Warriors as 5-point favorites, and that line has held steady as of Sunday morning. The total, which opened at 206, was sitting at 207 at the time of writing.

Who ya got: Warriors or Cavs? Let us know in the comment section.

NBA Finals MVP Odds: It's All LeBron

LeBron James Cleveland Cavaliers

As the basketball world prepares for Game 7 of the NBA Finals, sportsbooks are once again welcoming action on Most Valuable Player odds.

It's been a week since the prop was on the board. Draymond Green, who was the heavy favorite throughout the series, shot himself in the foot by hitting LeBron James below the belt in Game 4 and getting suspended for it. After Cleveland rattled off a pair of wins in Games 5 and 6, LeBron James has become a heavy -190 favorite to become MVP at Bovada.

Cavaliers on the Verge of Making History

All year long it looked like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors were on a collision course to once again meet in the NBA Finals. But after six games, what’s transpired has been anything but expected.

The Cavs were in all sorts of trouble when they were down 0-2, and it seemed like it was a foregone conclusion the Dubs would have another parade down the streets of Oakland when they held a 3-1 series lead. Against the odds Cleveland battled back to win two in a row, and they could make history if they can muster up another win on Sunday.

U.S. Open Odds: Lowry Leads the Pack

Prior to tee-off on the final day of the 116th U.S. Open, some very unfamiliar faces top the leaderboard.

Due to darkness, a lot of golfers didn't get a chance to complete their third rounds on Saturday. As a result, they'll finish those up this morning before starting the final round.

Shane Lowry leads the pack at 6-under entering Sunday, with Dustin Johnson (3-under), Lee Westwood (2-under), Daniel Summerhays (2-under), Branden Grace (1-under) and Andrew Landry (1-under) right behind him.

Finals Game 7 Is Short 1 Point

Have you seen a point lying around somewhere?

The Cleveland Cavaliers seem to have lost one since Game 6 tipped off. Before then, the Warriors were set as 6-point favorites for Game 7. Once the Cavs actually won Game 6, the line opened at 4.5 and has since moved to 5

So that’s an important element to understand for the odds for Game 7 before you place a bet. There’s a missing point here simply because the game is actually going to be played. Which doesn’t make any sense.
