Trends Favoring the OVER in Clips-Mavs

The Los Angeles Clippers have had their fair share of ups and downs in the 2015-16 NBA campaign but they’ve been fantastic when it comes to stringing together solid efforts. The Clips, who travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks Monday, have not dropped back-to-back games since before Christmas. L.A. is 24-8 SU since a three-game skid from December 18-21. The Clippers fell to Atlanta by a score of 107-97 on Saturday.

Shark Bites
  • The Clippers are 8-0 SU in their last eight games after a loss.
  • The total has gone OVER in 10 of the Mavericks' last 11 games.
  • The Clippers are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games on the road.

OVER bettors love when these teams get together, as they have a habit of participating in a lot of high-scoring affairs. The OVER has paid out in nine of the last 10 matchups between the Western Conference foes.

Perhaps they’re trying to copy the style of the trigger happy Warriors, but they Clippers are firing up 3-pointers at a ridiculous rate these days. Finding consistency from beyond the arc has been a major issue, however. The Clips have won just once in their last six games when attempting 30 or more 3-pointers.

The Mavericks (33-30 SU) are performing well against bad teams and poorly against good ones. Dallas has won just once in its last seven against teams above .500 and are 4-10 SU versus the five taems leading them in the Western Conference (Golden State, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, L.A. and Memphis.

UFC 197: Johnson vs Cejudo Odds

Only one opponent remains in the flyweight division for Demetrious Johnson and that is Henry Cejudo. ‘Mighty Mouse’ is the only man to ever hold the 125 lbs strap in the UFC since the division's inception in 2012. During Johnson’s reign as flyweight champion he has beaten the likes of John Dodson (twice), Joseph Benavidez (twice) and Ali Bagautinov while establishing himself as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.

BYU, Gonzaga Trending UNDER Monday

BYU and Gonzaga meet for the third time this season as they clash with a spot in the WCC Tournament Finals on the line Monday. Though the Cougars and Bulldogs split their season series SU and ATS, the UNDER hit in both contests. That brings the UNDER to a stellar 10-2 record in the past 12 games between BYU and Gonzaga.

Gonzaga enters the game as winners of three-straight, a span that saw go a perfect 3-0 ATS. One of those three games came against BYU, and though they closed as a 3.5-point underdog, the Bulldogs won 71-68. Domantas Sabonis has been an unstoppable machine for Gonzaga as the sophomore has averaged 18.2 points and 11.9 rebounds, with seven double-doubles, in his past nine games.

BYU’s defense has been on point recently with the Cougars holding opponents to just 62.4 points per game, which includes a 91-33 victory over lowly San Diego. The defensive prowess has made BYU an attractive UNDER option, with four of their past five failing to top the closing total.

ACC Tournament Betting Odds Preview

The ACC has been a battle all season long with several teams vying to finish with the regular season crown. The veteran experience of North Carolina (only two freshman on their roster) helped the team cinch the top spot in the conference, as well as making them the faces to win the conference tournament.

The San Diego State Aztecs pulled off back-to-back Mountain West Tournament titles in 2010 and 2011 and have been a runner-up in three of the four conference tournaments since. This year may just be the season that they take home the title once again and their dominance is reflected in the tournament odds.

Arizona Wildcats NCAA

You can make the case that the Oregon Ducks have been the best team in the Pac-12 all season but there are a few teams hovering around the top of the standings that can do some damage come conference tournament time.

Bruins Have Owned Panthers Recently

Florida Panthers Boston Bruins NHL

There is an intriguing battle brewing in the Atlantic Division and two of the teams front and center in that division race meet as the Boston Bruins visit the Florida Panthers Monday night.

Shark Bites
  • The Panthers are 15-4 SU in their last 19 games against the Eastern Conference.
  • The total has gone UNDER in four of the Bruins’ last five games.
  • The Bruins are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games versus teams with winning records.

Online shop Bovada is currently offering the Panthers at -115 in moneyline markets while the Bruins are presently -105. As far as the total, OVER 5 goals is currently -130 and UNDER 5 goals is +110.

The Tampa Bay Lightning sit at the top of the Atlantic with 82 points, but the Panthers are right behind with 80 and the Bruins next behind them at 79. The division race is one of the tightest in hockey and Monday’s clash will be pivotal.

The Bruins have won the two other meetings with the Panthers by scorelines of 3-1 earlier this season. Going back further, the B’s have gone 12-2 SU in the past 14 meetings and have gone 12-4 SU in the previous 16 at Sunrise.

Boston has been one of the better road teams all seasons long. Entering Monday’s action, the Bruins have gone 21-7-3 (third best) but have gone just 15-16-4 (21st) in their games on home ice.

The Panthers have gone a bit cold of late and take a two-game losing skid into Monday’s meeting. They’ve lost four of their last five overall and were thumped 5-1 by the Arizona Coyotes in their last contest Saturday.

The Bruins have been a hot wager on the road all season and with their recent dominance of the Panthers, there looks to be a little more value in this spot Monday.

UFC: Tate vs Rousey Betting Odds

Miesha Tate capitalized on Holly Holm’s inexperience in the ground game to take home the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 196. The gutsy performance culminated years of playing second fiddle to Ronda Rousey in the WMMA world. But ‘Cupcake’ will get her chance to step out from behind Ronda’s shadow very soon.

Dana White has said on multiple occasions that Rousey will get an immediate title shot when she returns to the Octagon.
