Dodgers continue series in Atlanta

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves will be back on the diamond at Turner Field on Saturday night as the National League clubs continue their three-game MLB betting series.

And the Braves will be turning to Kris Medlen on Saturday, with the righthander looking to improve on his 1-5 mark to start the season. Atlanta has picked up the loss in each of Medlen's last five trips to the mound, and they're 2-6 over his eight outings.

Sharks host Kings in Game 3 of set

The San Jose Sharks will be looking to avoid going into an 0-3 hole in their best-of-seven second-round series on Saturday night as they play host to the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3.

Los Angeles ran its series lead to 2-0 on Thursday night with a 4-3 victory as a -150 home favorite on the NHL betting lines. Trevor Lewis had the winner for the Kings in that contest, while Jonathan Quick stopped 28 of 31 San Jose shots in the win.

The Sharks sit at 25-16-7 on the season; in comparison, the Kings are currently 27-16-5. Looking to wager on the totals? San Jose is 15-23-10 OU, and Los Angeles is 19-18-11 OU.


Preakness Stakes Props; Orb vs Departing

Orb is favored to win the Preakness Stakes and favored in all three horse matchup betting props posted this week ahead of the big race.

Matt Harvey is the probable pitcher for Friday afternoon for the struggling New York Mets as they open up a three-game road MLB betting series at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs.

Harvey has surrendered just nine earned runs on 27 hits over 56 1-3 innings so far this season, with the Mets managing to win six of his eight trips to the mound. The righthander gave up two runs over seven innings against the Pirates last time out.

The Cubs will counter with Edwin Jackson, who will be looking to improve on his 1-5 mark.


Penguins, Senators meet for Game 2

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be looking to stay on a roll on Friday night as they play host to the Ottawa Senators in Game 2 of their best-of-seven second-round Stanley Cup betting series.

The Penguins knocked off the Senators 4-1 as a -175 home favorite on the NHL odds in Game 1 of the series on Tuesday night, with Tomas Vokoun stopping 35 of 36 Ottawa shots in that victory. Evgeni Malkin had a goal and an assist on the night.

The Penguins bring a 36-12 record to the battle against the 25-17-6 Senators. OVER/UNDER bettors have seen Pittsburgh go 23-24-1 so far and the Senators go 11-30-7.

The Indiana Pacers can close out their best-of-seven second-round series at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night as they take on the New York Knicks in Game 5 of the set.

Indiana knocked off New York 93-82 as a 5-point home favorite on the NBA betting odds in Game 4 of the set on Tuesday night to go up 3-1 in the series. George Hill led the Pacers with 26 points in that win, while Paul George had 18 points.

Rangers, Bruins play Game 1 in Boston

The New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins will open up their best-of-seven second-round NHL betting series on Thursday night as the Eastern Conference clubs hit the ice at TD Garden.

The Rangers knocked out the Washington Capitals in seven games in the first round of the playoffs, while the Bruins bounced the Toronto Maple Leafs in seven games to open their postseason. New York is 7-3 in its past 10 games against Boston.

Boston will face the 26-18-4 Rangers. In totals betting, the Bruins are 16-28-4 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Rangers are 16-22-10 favoring the OVER.
