Canucks Open As 2012 Stanley Cup Faves

They didn’t get the job done in Game 7, losing the Stanley Cup to Boston, but oddsmakers have faith in them to take another serious run in 2012.

Just moments after Boston raised the Cup, and just moments after drunken idiots tore half of downtown Vancouver apart, oddsmakers at Bovada installed the Vancouver Canucks as 5/1 favorites to win in 2012.

The Bruins, with young talent and savvy, hard-working veterans, are neck and neck with Washington as the second pick at 8/1 odds.

NASCAR Betting: Michigan Race Odds

The favorite to claim the checkered flag at this weekend's Sprint Cup Series race is current points leader Carl Edwards, who is set at 5/1 by the oddsmakers to win the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Edwards has been watching his lead atop the standings shrink the last couple of weeks, and he suffered a big blow last week when he finished well back in 37th place at Pocono.
