CFL Playoffs Betting Preview

In the CFL semifinals there was a big upset and a near upset, as Toronto and Saskatchewan advanced to the next round of the playoffs.

The Argonauts forced five turnovers and beat Hamilton for the first time this season. In the other semifinal game Saskatchewan needed double OT to beat British Columbia, as ex Lions WR Jason Clermont caught a 24-yard TD in extra time to send his former team packing. The loss for BC breaks a string of six straight appearances in a division final.

NHL Midweek Betting Roundup

Anaheim looks for its third straight win over Dallas this year and are tempting +125 moneyline underdogs at most sportsbooks here at

Dallas started the year well, but has since dropped out of the Western Conference’s top eight teams. The Stars have lost three straight, and they scored just three goals over that span. Combine this with the penalty-killing of Anaheim and it could point toward a low-scoring contest. Bettors at could see the UNDER payout with the total set at 5.5 for the game.

College Football Week 12 Odds

In a big ACC showdown this week, streaking Virginia Tech travels to Miami in hopes of winning its ninth straight game and it looks like bettors could find some value on the visiting Hokies if they pounce on the lines early.

Virginia Tech opened as a 1.5-point favorite at Bovada but other books, such as Sports Interaction, already have the Hokies as 2.5-point favorites. Presumably, the line could shift to three and beyond as the week progresses.

Preseason NIT Betting Preview

The NIT Season Tip-Off tournament is labelled a “preseason” event, but don’t let that fool you – the games this week matter, both in the standings and to bettors.

The four main hosts of the tourney, which begins Monday, are No. 6 Villanova, No. 23 Tennessee, Wake Forest, and UCLA. After a shocking 89-79 loss to Stetson to start the year, Wake Forest hopes to bounce back on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. when it hosts Hampton. Bovada currently has the Demon Deacons as 13.5-point favorites, down from the 14-point opening line.

Monday Night Football Betting

The Redskins upset the Eagles back in Week 4, and they'll get a chance to do it again on Monday night when Philly visits Washington as a 3-point favorite at Bovada.

Magic vs. Nets Odds

The Nets and Magic have played UNDER the posted NBA total in three of their last four matchups, with their other meeting resulting in a PUSH. Could their Saturday game then be setting up in favor of UNDER bettors?

Don’t expect an up-and-down offensive battle when the Nets and Magic take to the floor for their second meeting of the season. Both teams give up less than 100 points per game and rank near the bottom in FG%.

Senators vs. Bruins Odds

The Senators and Bruins both victimized bettors the last time they took to the ice; one of them will make amends on Saturday night when the clubs do battle in Boston.

Ottawa had been playing its best hockey of the season – scoring 15 goals over an impressive four-game winning streak – before falling to Vancouver 6-2 at home on Thursday night. This will be the second meeting of the year between the two teams, with the Bruins shutting out the Senators 4-0 back on October 30.

NFL Week 10 Prop Bets

The props list for Week 10 of the NFL season is all about new faces, as Randy Moss makes his debut for Tennessee and Chad Pennington takes over the starting QB job for Miami.

Moss gets his first taste of game action for Tennessee after getting a week off during the bye to familiarize himself with their system. Will that mean a quick and easy transition? That will likely hinge more on Vince Young than Moss.

NFL Week 10 Odds Preview

The Browns have delivered two big betting upsets in a row, knocking off New Orleans and New England. Do they have any magic left this weekend to post another shocker versus the  Jets?

Cleveland hasn't just been pulling off big upsets, they've been crushing their opponents in games they were supposed to lose. Two weeks ago against the Saints the Browns were a 12.5-point underdog, but came away with a 30-17 win.
