2016 NBA Title Odds Hit Sportsbooks

Despite closing out the NBA Finals on Tuesday night the Golden State Warriors have been opened by online sportsbook Bovada as just the second favorites on the odds to win the championship once again in the 2015/16 season.

The Warriors topped the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-97 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night to take that series 4-2, but that didn't impress the oddsmakers quite enough as they opened Stephen Curry and company as the 5/1 second favorites on the odds to win the 2016 NBA championship.

Iguodala Pays as Finals MVP Underdog

The Golden State Warriors' Andre Iguodala was as far back as 125/1 on the odds to win the NBA Finals MVP award this spring, but he upset the favored Stephen Curry and LeBron James to snag the accolade and provide a healthy payout for some of his supporters.

Back on June 3 Curry was the 5/8 favorite on the odds to win the NBA Finals MVP, with James at 17/10, and Iguodala at 125/1. The Warriors then went on to win the NBA Finals in six games, with Iguodala beating James in the voting for the MVP award.
