NFL Preseason Week 2 Matchups, Odds

Will Sam Bradford make his Philadelphia Eagles preseason debut this week? The oft-injured quarterback sat out his team's exhibition opener last week, but could see the field this week at home with his team a 3.5-point betting favorite at 5Dimes against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Eagles won and easily paid out on the NFL betting lines in their first game of the preseason last week, beating the Indianapolis Colts 36-10 with the other three quarterbacks on the roster all getting some time on the field.


Emmy Awards Odds: Mad Men vs GOT

Mad Men has slipped ahead of Game of Thrones on the updated Emmy Awards odds at the online sportsbooks, with the telecast coming up on Sunday, September 20.

At Bovada Mad Men is now the -125 favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Drama Series at the 2015 Emmys, with Game of Thrones a close second at EVEN odds on the list. Mad Men has won Outstanding Drama Series four times in the past, while Game of Thrones is looking for its first trophy in this category.


Mets 6-0 in Last Six Outings by deGrom

The New York Mets are a lucrative 6-0 in the last six starts by Jacob deGrom as the righthander heads to the mound on Tuesday night to take on the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in baseball betting action at the online sportsbooks.

DeGrom is 11-6 with a 2.03 ERA on the season, and he's coming off a stellar outing against the Rockies in which he gave up just two hits over seven shutout innings. Kevin Gausman (2-4, 4.48 ERA) pitches for the Orioles on Tuesday.

The Detroit Tigers have been tagged with a loss in each of Anibal Sanchez's last three trips to the mound on the road as he gets the ball for them at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night in interleague odds action against the Chicago Cubs.

Sanchez sits at 10-10 with a 4.95 ERA on the season, and he's coming off a loss in Kansas City in which he allowed five runs over 5 1-3 innings of work. Jason Hammel (6-5, 3.10 ERA) will start for the Cubs in Tuesday's matchup.

Tom Brady is still in line for a Week 1 suspension and Jimmy Garoppolo didn't set the world on fire in his preseason debut, but the New England Patriots are still sitting as betting favorites at the online sportsbooks for their opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10.


Colts vs Packers: Super Bowl 50 Chalk

A Super Bowl 50 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers is the betting favorite at the online sportsbooks with the NFL's preseason schedule now underway.

At 5Dimes a Colts vs. Packers matchup at Super Bowl 50 next February is sitting as the +1300 favorite, despite the fact that both teams were bounced from the postseason last year in their respective conference championship games.


NHL Betting Lines: Conference Futures

The defending-champion Chicago Blackhawks have lost a few pieces of their Stanley Cup squad, but the oddsmakers at online sportsbook Bovada still think they’re the ones to beat and list them as the favorite on the odds to win the NHL's Western Conference this season.


Baseball Odds: Division Betting Futures

The Washington Nationals were heavy favorites on the odds to win the NL East title a month ago, but a surge by the New York Mets has moved them into the chalk position on those division futures at the online sportsbooks.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have slipped on the odds to win the 2015 National League Pennant midway through the month of August, with the online sportsbooks pushing them slightly behind the St. Louis Cardinals on those updated baseball futures.


MLB Futures: 2015 World Series Odds

With the Toronto Blue Jays having made several bold moves prior to the trade deadline and flirting with first place in the AL East standings they're now the betting favorites on the odds to win the World Series at the sportsbooks.

At Bovada the Blue Jays are now the +400 favorites on the odds to win the World Series, with the Kansas City Royals having slipped to second at +500, the St. Louis Cardinals third at +650, the Los Angeles Dodgers fourth at +750, and the New York Mets fifth at +900.
