Tips For Betting The CFL

I remember walking into the Wynn sportsbook’s back room one summer afternoon and there was this super upbeat oddsmaker keenly looking in on a Hamilton Tiger-Cats game on the screen in front of him.

I can’t remember exactly but I think they were playing the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

I made a comment about him needing to adjust the rabbit ears or something and he shot around in his swivel chair. Two seconds later he started spewing Oskee-Wee-Wee and it took about a half a minute before I realized I was way out of my league as a semi-dedicated follower of the CFL.

UFC: Gall vs CM Punk Betting Odds

It’s official: CM Punk and Mickey Gall will face off in the former pro wrestler's MMA debut. Gall dispatched Mike Jackson with relative ease to set up the biggest fight of his young career against Phil Brooks. After Gall’s dominant performance and CM Punk’s lack of experience, the youngster from New Jersey has opened as a massive favorite.

Bovada opened Gall at -300 with Punk coming back at +235 as of February 9. However, within 24 hours the line had already seen big movements with Gall at -350 and Punk at +265.

WNBA Futures: And Then There Was One

A late three-pointer from Renee Montgomery lifted the Minnesota Lynx past the Los Angeles Sparks and secured their spot as the lone remaining undefeated team in the WNBA. The Lynx have opened the season with 13 consecutive wins – the record for most wins to start a season.

Though the Lynx offers plenty of depth – three players averaging double-digit points this season – but the best player in the league in the WNBA dons Minnesota’s jersey. Maya Moore is fourth in the league in points and assists while shooting 49.6 percent from the field.

Mariners are Becoming a Fantastic UNDER Bet

The Mariners will try and avoid a sixth-straight defeat and a four-game sweep when they take on the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on Thursday. The M’s are simply trying to stay afloat while starters Felix Hernandez, Wade Miley and Taijuan Walker recover from injuries.

Shark Bites
  • The Mariners are 1-4 SU in their last five games during the afternoon.
  • The total has gone OVER in four of the Tigers' last five games on Thursday.
  • The favored team is 5-2 SU in its last seven games in this matchup.

Adrian Sampson is scheduled to start for the Mariners, while Daniel Norris will take the mound for Detroit. Sampson (0-1, 7.71 ERA) took over Miley’s spot in the rotation and was rocked in his major league debut, giving up four runs on eight hits in a loss to Boston on Saturday.

Norris is getting a shot in the starting five as Detroit shuffles its rotation. Norris (0-0, 0.00) threw a scoreless inning of relief at Baltimore on May 12 in his only appearance this season. The 23-year-old is 4-6 with a 4.68 ERA in 11 starts at Triple-A Toledo on the year.

UNDER bettors are loving Seattle lately, and for good reason. The Mariners have gone below the closing total in four of their last five contests.
