Usain Bolt betting continues with 200m
After electrifying London with a victory in the men's 100m race over the weekend Usain Bolt will return to the track on Tuesday to begin his quest for a gold medal in the men's 200m event.
Bolt ran an Olympic-record 9.629 in the men's 100m final, and he's listed as the 1/5 favorite on the track odds at Bovada to also win the gold in the men's 200m this week.
Bolt won the gold medal in the men's 200m race in Beijing in 2008, as well as at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009 and South Korea in 2011.
Yohan Blake, Bolt's Jamaican teammate who took the silver medal in the men's 100m in London on the weekend, is next at 7/2 odds to take the gold medal in the men's 200m this week, followed by American Wallace Spearmon at 25/1 odds.
Spearmon had finished third in the men's 200m in Beijing but was disqualified from the race because he stepped out of his lane.
France's Christophe Lemaitre, who won the bronze medal in the men's 200m race in South Korea, is then at 33/1 odds to claim the gold this week, with the Netherlands' Churandy Martina at 40/1 odds.
Heats for the men's 200m will be run on Tuesday, with the semifinals of the event on Wednesday, and the final on Thursday.
The other marquee event on the Olympic Games schedule for Tuesday is the men's triathlon, with Great Britain's Alistair Brownlee (4/7) and Jonathan Brownlee (9/4) the top favorites on the betting odds to pick up the gold medal at that event.
Spain's Javier Gomez is then at 7/1 odds to win the men's triathlon on Tuesday, with Russia's Alexander Bryukhankov and Great Britain's Richard Murray both at 16/1 on the list.
