Picking the Colts to win as Monday Night underdogs

In the Monday night game, the Colts (3-3) travel to play the Titans (6-0) in Music City USA where they are mainly a 4-point underdog (except you can get the Titans at -3.5 at if you are looking to bet the favorite).

Last week the Colts lost to the Packers 34-14 and came nowhere close to covering the -2.5 spread, while the Titans crushed the Chiefs 34-10 and easily covered the -8.5 spread. Tennessee is now 6-0 ATS on the year.

The Colts are reeling and are only at .500 and really need to win this game to remain in the playoff picture. QB Peyton Manning, who usually puts up sick numbers, has been a mere mortal this season with only 8 TDs and 7 INTs.

The Titans are winning with their defense, which ranks 3rd in the league, and their rushing offense led by rookie RB Chris Johnson (549 yds 4 TDs). That does not bode well for the Colts, as even though their defense is ranked 16th they are one of the worst teams in the NFL in stopping the run.

The Colts offensive line has to step up in this game and protect Manning, as they have failed to do so thus far. Their once-dominant offense looks mediocre this season.

In their last 5 games in Tennessee, the Colts are 4-1. And totals bettors should check this out – the six past meetings have all played UNDER the total. Read all the {URL=}Monday Night Football betting trends {/URL}in the matchup report.

My Pick: When looking at all the angles in this game it looks as if the Titans should win easily. However, the Colts offense has been dormant for most of the season, but they still have the pieces to put on a show – especially on Monday Night.

I think that will happen tonight, as the offensive line of the Colts will step up and protect Manning, which will lead him to putting up some good numbers. The key for the Colts is stopping the run, but if the Colts offense can score, the Titans do not have the passing offense to get into a shootout.

Look for the Colts to surprise the Titans in their house and hand them their first loss of the season. Improve your odds of winning by getting some advice from the NFL experts here at
