Redskins will cover in Dallas

September is drawing to a close, but not before several solid money-making opportunities present themselves this weekend. Whether its college football, NFL or even Serie A in Italy, we have some picks to consider.

College Football

#8 Alabama at #3 Georgia -7 O/U 45 –

Last week, both teams won convincingly and this week first place is at stake in the SEC. The Crimson Tide boast the 14th-ranked rushing attack, but will be facing arguably the toughest defense in the nation.

The key to this game may be the offensive line of the Bulldogs. As a unit, they are banged up, but if they open up holes for Heisman candidate Knowshon Moreno and protect QB Mike Stafford, they will win this game.

We see the Bulldogs covering the spread and seeing the total plunge Under the total, but this is also a spot where a powerful dog could bite hard.

#9 Wisconsin -6 at Michigan O/U 42 –

The undefeated Badgers travel to play the Wolverines, who are 1-2 and are not playing well under new coach Rich Rodriguez. The Badgers have the 13th-ranked rushing attack in the nation.

The Wolverines have a new spread offense attack, but no QB that can run it. The Badgers are playing great and have not been tested yet, so look for them to win this game against a young Michigan team and cover the spread.

NFL Week 4 picks

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys -11 O/U 46 –

The Cowboys have a dynamic offense and play a Redskins team that will be without star LB Jason Taylor, who is out with an injury. For the Skins to have any chance in this game RB Clinton Portis has to have a big game, which will not be easy against a tough Dallas rushing defense. Still, the Skins tend to play the Cowboys tough in Big D, so even though the Cowboys should win, the Redskins will cover the spread.

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers -6 O/U 34 –

First place in the AFC North is at stake in this game. You want a mismatch? The Ravens D is ranked first in the NFL and the Steelers offensive line gave up nine sacks last week against the Eagles.

Add to the fact that Steelers RB Willie Parker is out for the game with a sprained knee. The Steelers have the second ranked defense, so do not expect a high scoring game, as the Under is a GREAT pick here in the Monday Nighter.

Soccer betting pick

Inter Milan (2.45) at AC Milan (2.85) Draw (2.95) –

Even though the season just began, AC Milan is only 2-0-2 with 6 points and Inter is 3-1-0 with 10 points and lead Italian Series A. AC Milan really needs to win this game to stay within striking distance of the league leaders.

AC Milan’s defense has not played well, as they have given up 6 goals in 4 games. That is not good with the offensive firepower that Inter has, which is why Inter is the smart pick in this game.
