Match Day 5 begins in the Champions league on Tuesday and the picture for the knockout phase will be a little clearer after the next round of matches.

Champions League Group A Odds - matchup stats and trends

Manchester United leads the group and can advance with a win over Bayer Leverkusen or if Real Sociedad loses to Shakhtar.

Unless Shakhtar gets some wins in their next two CL matches facing Sociedad and Man U it looks as if the Red Devils and German side will move on.

Champions League Group B Odds

Real Madrid only needs one more point to advance and Juventus can do as well if they beat FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in their last two matches.

The battle is basically for second place in the group and if Juve slips Galatasaray and Copenhagen can both advance.

Champions League Group C Odds

PSG only needs one point in their last two group matches to advance and Olympiakos looks good to come in second.

However, Benfica and Anderlecht are still alive, but need to win their last two group matches and get some help.

Champions League Group D Odds

In Group D Bayern Munich and Manchester City have already advanced.

Champions League Group E Odds

All four clubs are still alive, but Chelsea just need one point to win the group.  However, they face Basel, who they lost to at home in the first CL group match.

If Schalke beats Steaua Bucharest and the Blues beat Basel the German and English side will advance.

Champions League Group F Odds

Dortmund has a must win match against Napoli, as Arsenal is all but assured a spot in the knockout phase. If Arsenal is shocked at home losing to Marseilles, who are out of the running, then it may come down to goal differential if the probable outcomes play out in the last round.

However, the Gunners are at home and face a Marseilles side that has no points in CL play.

Champions League Group G Odds

Atletico Madrid is already through and the race is for second place. There are quite a few scenarios in this group, but either Zenit St. Petersburg or FC Porto will advance.

Champions League Group H Odds

Barcelona is through, shocker, but if Barca beats Ajax and Milan beats Celtic the Italian squad will advance. Celtic is at home in the next CL match and has to win and win convincingly, by two or more goals, to have any chance to reach the knockout phase.
