Euro 2016: England’s Top Goalscorer Odds

Dele Alli Harry Kane Wayne Rooney England Euro 2016

As with any international tournament involving England's national team, there will be a lot of eyes paying attention to The Three Lions from both the international press as well as the English media. A slew of fresh, exciting talent is set to pull on the shirt this summer at Euro 2016 in France and many hope to see a strong performance to usher in a new era of English football on the global stage.

If you think you have an inkling on who will bag the most goals for England at Euro 2016, why not get a wager in? Online shop Bet365 has a full list of players to choose from ahead of the official announcement of the squad list.

Manager Roy Hodgson announced his 26-man squad Monday, May 16 following the final matchday in the Barclays Premier League.

With that in mind, here is a look at three players of various prices who have the potential to lead the team in goals this summer.

Harry Kane (Tottenham) +175

Kane was the Premier League’s leading scorer with 25 goals and followed up his spectacular 2014-15 with a blistering display this season and a lot of the national team pressure rests on his shoulders.

Kane has made 10 appearances at the senior level for England and has tallied four goals in the process. The 22-year-old will more than likely lead the line for the Three Lions if Hodgson keeps the 4-2-3-1 formation he’s employed in the buildup to the tourney.

There is a reason Bet365 has Kane listed as the +175 favorite: He’s just that good. If he hasn’t already announced his arrival, Euro 2016 could be the star turn that takes the Tottenham hitman to the global stage.

Dele Alli (Tottenham) +1200

While Kane is a bright, young star in the England setup, Alli's star might be brighter. The midfielder presents great value at +1200 and has the talent to lead England despite being just 20-years-old.

The Tottenham lynchpin burst onto the scene this season after his move from MK Dons to finish second on the club with 10 goals and also added nine assists as he was integral to Tottenham’s rise to the Champions League places in the table.

Whether slotted behind Harry Kane in the No. 10 role in the England setup or as a deeper lying playmaker, Alli poses a threat no matter where Hodgson has him lined up.

Much like his teammate in North London, Alli is poised to become a household name in world football with a positive showing in France this summer.

Ross Barkley (Everton) +2000

Looking for someone a bit further down the odds board? Give Everton's Ross Barkley a try.

The 22-year-old playmaker has more caps than Kane and Alli combined (23) and had quite a productive season for the Toffees as he recorded eight goals and eight assists.

Barkley has been playing in the slot behind the striker in Hodgson’s 4-2-3-1 setup, which looks to be how England will line up in France. If so, Barkley probably has a home in the attacking band so he could factor in and get some goals.

The odds are long on the Everton product, but he has the talent and the skill to be a factor for the side. It will just be a matter of putting it all together and taking a disciplined approach on the international level.
