Netherlands played won all three of their World Cup tune-up matches and scored 12 goals in those matches and only allowed three. Conversely, Denmark only won two of their three tune-up matches and in their last two they played teams that will both be playing the World Cup (South Africa and Australia) and lost both matches 1-0.
Netherlands’s offense is loaded with great players led by Robin Van Persie and Wesley Sneijder. Sneijder is especially dangerous on set pieces and he is deadly from long range. To thwart the great Dutch attack center backs Daniel Agger and Simon Kjær and G Thomas Sørensen will have to play well in this match.
The Danes have a solid midfield and they will have to play well in that part of the field by controlling the ball and by taking advantage of the counter-attacking chances they get. Netherlands will push forward on offense all match to put the pressure on Denmark.
The weak link for the Dutch on defense is goalie Maarten Stekelenburg and if Denmark can generate some offense and play solid defense they have a chance to win this match, albeit a small one.
