Is James Rodriguez On His Way to England?

Connected with nearly every high-priced footballer this side of Timbuctoo, Manchester United has done a lot of talking during the summer transfer window but as yet, there’s been almost no action in or out of Old Trafford.

The latest rumors, however, have linked the Red Devils with Colombian forward James Rodriguez. James, who was the toast of the 2014 World Cup, has not lived up to the lofty expectations thrust upon him when he arrived at the Bernabeu with an 80-million euro price tag.

According to multiple Spanish and English newspapers, it’s only a matter of time before the 25-year-old attacking midfielder is shipped out of Madrid with the former Monaco man reportedly giving Real an ultimatum to either sell him or give him a massive raise.

Zinedine Zidane has been cagey about the whole situation but it’s apparent that the French skipper isn’t too keen on giving James another chance to become the star he was built up to be with so much other talent waiting in the wings at Real.

Bovada has odds on where James will wind up and United leads the charge at +200. Man U is in desperate need of attacking talent with Rooney, Martial and Young all likely leaving town and James, who scored 28 goals in his 77 contests with Real, could be just what the doctor ordered.

Chelsea (+300), PSG (+300) and Inter Milan (+400) have also been linked with the Colombian but it’s clear that Manchester is his preferred destination.
