Wayne Rooney Manchester United Premier League

We are 24 games into the Premier League season and both Manchester United and Chelsea are outside of the Champions League spots. The two storied clubs meet up at Stamford Bridge in one of two Premier League contests Sunday.

Shark Bites
  • The Draw has cashed in each of Chelsea’s last three home games in the Premier League.
  • Four of the last five meetings between the two teams at Stamford Bridge have gone OVER 2 goals.
  • Chelsea has scored at least two goals in their last four home games.

Chelsea is currently being offered at +105 in moneyline markets at Bovada, while United is +280 and the Draw is +225. As far as the total is concerned, OVER 2 goals is -135 with UNDER 2 goals +110.

Chelsea has been getting better results with Guus Hiddink in charge, but just can’t seem to get that go-ahead goal to collect three points. The Blues are unbeaten with the Dutchman at the helm, but have just two wins and five draws in seven matches since he took over. Chelsea did beat Arsenal 1-0 on January 24, before a scoreless draw against a tough Watford side midweek.

The Red Devils are currently fifth in the table with 40 points – just one ahead of West Ham entering the weekend’s schedule and will be keen to keep up the pace with the rest of the teams ahead of them in the table.

After being booed off the pitch at Old Trafford in a 1-0 defeat to Southampton, Louis Van Gaal and his United side rebounded to put on a clinical display against Stoke midweek, winning 3-0 on goals from Jesse Lindgard, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.

These clubs like to keep scores on the lower side of things when they meet as five of the last six Premier League contests between the two have resulted in scores of two or lower. The reverse fixture at Old Trafford resulted in a 0-0 draw back on December 28.
