NFL Odds: Packers, Lions Collide in Week 11 NFC North Clash
The Detroit Lions won’t have time to wallow in self pity after their most recent loss, their third to a division rival this season, because come Sunday afternoon they’ll have to do it all over again. Get NFL odds for the Week 11 clash between the wayward Lions and the red-hot, second-place Green Bay Packers.
Although it wasn’t clear just how far the Lions would go following their impressive 2011-12 campaign, their 2012-13 attempts have been anything but inspiring. Now firmly entrenched in last place in the NFC North Division, Matt Stafford, Calvin Johnson and company will be hard pressed to inject new life into their Super Bowl futures.
The Packers, in contrast, despite a notorious slow start, have had nothing but good fortune in the win column of late. Now with 15/2 odds of winning Super Bowl XLVII, it’s safe for fans and oddsmakers alike to start treating them like the legitimate title contenders they’ve been for the past three years.
Initial discrepancies aside, although the two franchises seem to be quite obviously trending in opposite directions, anything can happen on the Sunday line. The Lions may not strike as much fear in Aaron Rodgers as they would hope to, but when or if their offense gets going, they’re no moneyline pushover.
