Cubs slide past Padres
The Chicago Cubs scored all their runs before the fifth inning, as they held on to defeat the San Diego Padres 6-4 Wednesday night at Wrigley Field.
Chicago won the game as -165 favorites, while the 10 runs went UNDER the posted over/under (11.5).
Geovany Soto hit a two-run homer to lead the Cubs, while Ryan Theriot went deep for two solo shots. Ted Lilly earned the victory, giving up eight hits and three runs over 6 1-3 innings.
Adrian Gonzalez banged out two home runs in a losing effort for the Padres. Chris Young surrendered six hits and six runs over four innings in the loss.
