Big inning propels Cubs
The Chicago Cubs scored four runs in a eighth-inning rally to defeat the Cincinnati Reds 8-5 Friday afternoon in the opener of a three-game set at Wrigley Field.
Chicago won the game as -175 favorites, while the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (10).
Aramis Ramirez belted a solo home run and drove in three runs, and Derrek Lee hit a two-run dinger for the Cubs. Randy Wells scattered seven hits and three runs over six innings for the win.
Aaron Harang smacked a three-run homer for the Reds, but gave up nine hits and four runs over six innings to suffer the loss on the hill.
