Rockies nip Diamondbacks
Jason Giambi drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Colorado Rockies snuck past the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 Friday night at Coors Field.
Colorado won the game as a -110 pick’em, and the nine runs went as a PUSH against the posted over/under (9).
Seth Smith went 4-for-5 at the plate with three runs batted in for the Rockies. Rafael Betancourt earned the win in relief, and Franklin Morales picked up the save.
Miguel Montero drove in a pair of runs for the Diamondbacks. Blaine Boyer surrendered the winning run and was tagged with the loss.
