Rockies down Diamondbacks
The Colorado Rockies maintained their slim lead in the wildcard race in the National League with a 4-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday at Coors Field.
Colorado won the game as -150 favorites, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Seth Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run for the Rockies. Jose Contreras allowed eight hits and one run over 6 2-3 innings for the win, while Franklin Morales notched his third save.
Brandon Allen homered in a losing effort for the Diamondbacks. Doug Davis surrendered seven hits and three runs over six innings.
