Mets mash Marlins
The New York Mets rode a solid outing from Livan Hernandez to an 8-4 victory over the Florida Marlins at Dolphin Stadium Saturday night.
New York won as a +133 road underdog while the final score played over the 9.5-run total.
Jose Reyes recorded two hits including a home run for three RBI on the day. Second baseman Luis Castillo went 5-for-5 at the plate with one RBI. Hernandez gave up just two runs on six hits in over six innings of work.
Marlins third baseman Emilio Bonifacio recorded three hits and a RBI in the loss. Stater Ricky Nolasco last five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits.
