Phillies down Marlins in marathon
The Philadelphia Phillies scored twice in the top of the 12th and held off a late surge in the bottom half of the inning to defeat the Florida Marlins 6-5 Friday night.
Philadelphia won the game as -135 favorites, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Chase Utley belted a two-run homer and collected three RBIs for the Phillies. Clay Condrey improved to 5-2 with the win, and Brad Lidge tossed the 12th for his 19th save.
Ronny Paulino had three hits and drove in one run for the Marlins. Burke Badenhop surrendered two runs in two innings of relief and was saddled with the loss.
