Padres rally past Marlins
The San Diego Padres scored three runs in the eighth inning and came away with a 7-4 win over the Florida Marlins Saturday night at Land Shark Stadium.
San Diego won the game as +210 underdogs, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Tony Gwynn drove in a pair of runs to lift the Padres. Adam Russell pitched one inning of relief and was credited with the win, and Heath Bell closed out the victory with his 31st save.
Ronny Paulino hit a two-run homer and finished with three RBIs for the Marlins. Luis Ayala gave up three runs in relief and suffered the loss.
