Marlins fend off D-Backs
The Florida Marlins got out to a four run lead and held on for a 8-6 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks Wednesday in the opener of a doubleheader at Dolphin Stadium.
Florida won the game as -145 favorites, and the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Dan Uggla cracked a three-run homer, and finished with four RBIs for the Marlins. Chris Volstad evened his record to 3-3 with the win, and Matt Lindstrom turned away the side in the ninth inning for his eighth save.
Chad Tracy homered and drove in two runs for the Diamondbacks. Doug Davis gave up six runs off six hits in only 4 1-3 innings of work.
