Brewers top Astros, take rubber match
The Milwaukee Brewers scored three runs in the seventh inning Thursday to defeat the Houston Astros 4-3 in the rubber match of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
Milwaukee won the game as +140 underdogs, while the seven runs went UNDER the night’s posted over/under (9).
Corey Hart went 3-for-5 a the plate with one RBI for the Brewers. Seth McClung earned the win with one scoreless inning on the mound, and Trevor Hoffman secured the win with his 11th save.
Hunter Pence hit a two-run homer in a losing effort for the Brewers. Jeff Fulchino gave up the winning run in relief, and got saddled with the loss.
