Pirates get even with Astros
The Pittsburgh Pirates scored early and went on to defeat the Houston Astros 6-4 Saturday night to even the three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
Pittsburgh won the game as +110 underdogs, and the 10 runs made it OVER the night’s posted over/under (9.5).
Andrew McCutchen drove in two runs to lead the Pirates. Paul Maholm improved to 4-2 with the win, and Matt Capps closed out the game with his 13th save.
Hunter Pence went deep for a two-run shot for the Astros. Roy Oswalt took the loss on the hill, giving up nine hits and six runs over six innings.
