Cards edge Brewers in rubber match
Nick Stavinoha drove in two runs to help lift the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday afternoon in the series finale at Miller Park.
St. Louis Cardinals won the game as +130 underdogs, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Jason LaRue drove in the winning run for the Cardinals. Todd Wellemeyer tossed 5 1-3 innings for the victory, and Ryan Franklin collected his 12th save.
Frank Catalanotto drove in both runs for the Brewers. Manny Parra surrendered three runs off seven hits in 6 2-3 innings in the loss.
