Jays sweep away Phillies
Raul Chavez cracked at two-run homer in helping the Toronto Blue Jays sneak past the Philadelphia Phillies 8-7 Thursday afternoon for a sweep of the three-game Interleague series at Citizens Bank Park.
Toronto won the game as +140 underdogs, and the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (10).
Vernon Wells and Adam Lind drove in a pair of runs each for the Blue Jays. Jason Frasor earned the win in relief, and Jermey Accardo notched his first save of the season.
Jimmy Rollins belted a two-run dinger for the Phillies, and Jayson Werth drove in a pair of runs. Ryan Madson gave up the winning run and was tagged with the loss.
