Phillies fend off Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies allowed three runs in the ninth inning, but managed to hang on and defeat the Florida Marlins 5-3 Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park.

Philadelphia won the game as -160 favorites, while the eight runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (10).

Shane Victorino went 4-for-5 at the plate with one RBI for the Phillies. Joe Blanton went seven innings for the win, striking out 11 batters.

Cody Ross had three hits and scored once for the Marlins. Andrew Miller allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings in a losing effort.
