Howard powers Phillies
Ryan Howard hit a grand slam home run and a solo homer to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 9-6 win over the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park Saturday night.
Philadelphia won the game as -250 favorites, and the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Shane Victorino finished with two hits and two runs scored for the Phillies. Cole Hamels got the win, despite giving up eight hits and six runs over six innings.
Ronnie Belliard belted a pinch-hit home run for the Nationals. Shairon Martis allowed seven runs over four innings in the loss.
