Victorino, Phillies pound Cardinals
Shane Victorino went 4-for-4 and launched a solo home run with three RBIs to lead the Philadelphia Phillies in a 14-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Saturday at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia won the game as -135 favorites, and the 20 runs sailed OVER the game’s posted over/under (10).
Jimmy Rollins belted a grand slam home run and finished with five runs batted in for the Phillies. Rodrigo Lopez pitched six innings for the win, giving up 10 hits and four runs along the way.
Julio Lugo had four hits and drove in one run for the Cardinals. Jason Motte gave up five runs in relief to suffer the loss.
