Ohlendorf tosses gem to lead Pirates

Ross Ohlendorf allowed a stingy two hits over six innings as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-2 Wednesday night at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh won the game as a -105 pick’em, and the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Nyjer Morgan led the Pirates with two RBIs, and Brandon Moss had two hits with two runs scored.

Skip Schumaker belted a solo home run in a losing effort for the Cardinals. Joel Pineiro gave up 11 hits and five runs over six innings of work.
