Pirates cut down Nationals

The Pittsburgh Pirates went up 2-0 in the three-game series by defeating the Washington Nationals 11-6 Saturday night at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh won the game as a +105 underdog, while the 17 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Andrew McCutchen led the way with three home runs and six RBIs for the Pirates. Virgil Vasquez tossed five innings for the win, allowing nine hits and three runs.

Ryan Zimmerman went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Nationals. Craig Stammen gave up eight hits and six runs over three innings in the loss.
