Pirates rally to upset Phillies

Garrett Jones launched a game-winning two-run homer to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday night in the rubber match at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh won this game as +160 underdogs, while the five runs went UNDER the night’s posted over/under (8.5).

Andrew McCutchen belted a solo home run for the other Pirates run. Denny Bautista tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the win, and Matt Capps closed out the ninth for his 24th save.

Paul Bako went 2-for-2 at the plate with a solo home run for the Phillies. J.A. Happ gave up seven hits and three runs over eight complete innings in the loss.
