Cardinals fly past Pirates
The St. Louis Cardinals pounded out 17 hits and cruised past the Pittsburgh Pirates 14-7 Friday night at PNC Park.
St. Louis won the game as -250 favorites, and the 21 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8).
Ryan Ludwick went 5-for-5 at the plate with two home runs and five RBIs for the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright earned his 17th victory, allowing nine hits and six runs over five innings.
Andy LaRoche had two hits and drove in two runs for the Pirates. Kevin Hart allowed seven runs over 5 2-3 innings in the loss.
