Padres outlast Pirates in extra innings
Chase Headley's run-scoring double broke a 6-6 tie in the top of the 11th inning, and the San Diego Padres went on to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-6 on Monday night.
San Diego cashed as -135 road favorites, while the game played OVER the 8.5-run total posted by oddsmakers.
Nick Hundley was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs batted in for the Padres, as Sean Gallagher picked up the win in relief of starter Wade LeBlanc for San Diego.
Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Pittsburgh, while Jeff Karstens was tagged with the loss after allowing the go-ahead runs in the top of the 11th inning.
